Our Services

Welcome to Lonsdale Vet Hospital’s Surgery page, where we prioritize your cherished companion’s safety, comfort, and well-being. Our experienced surgical team combines skill, precision, and compassion to provide the highest quality surgical care for pets in North Vancouver.

Pet-Neutering

Neutering is a surgical procedure that involves removing the testicles from male pets. It’s an effective way to control overpopulation and can also reduce certain behavioral and health issues in male animals.

Pet-Spaying

Spaying is the surgical removal of the ovaries and, in some cases, the uterus of female pets. This procedure not only helps prevent unwanted pregnancies but also offers health benefits and reduces the risk of certain diseases.

Routine-Pet-Surgeries

From mass removals to more common procedures like dental extractions, our skilled surgeons perform a wide range of routine surgeries with the utmost care and attention.

Orthopedic-Surgery

We offer specialized care for musculoskeletal issues, including fracture repair, joint stabilization, and more.

Benefits of the Pet Surgery

When it comes to caring for your pet, surgery is often necessary for various reasons. It can help with medical issues, and pet surgery services can also provide other benefits you may have yet to consider. From improving the quality of life for your furry friend to helping keep them safe and healthy, here are some key benefits to be aware of when considering pet surgery services.

Improved Quality Of Life

Pet surgeries are designed to improve our pets’ overall health and well-being by addressing underlying health issues, such as infections or tumors that could otherwise cause pain or discomfort in animals if left untreated. This improved quality of life means fewer trips back and forth from the vet’s office due to illnesses related directly or indirectly to these conditions being addressed through surgical intervention before they become more serious problems.

Safer Environment For Your Pet

In addition, certain types of surgeries like spaying/neutering can help reduce aggressive behavior in pets, which makes them safer around people as well as other animals who might otherwise trigger their aggression if not properly managed through these procedures beforehand; this helps create a safer environment both inside and outside your home so everyone involved remains secure at all times!

Cost Savings Over Time

Though there is an upfront cost associated with most surgical procedures performed on cats & dogs alike (depending on what type), investing in these treatments now will save money over time since many common medical problems require long-term treatment plans which would add up quickly without having taken preventative measures first via proper veterinary care including potential surgeries where applicable – plus preventive measures typically come out cheaper than reactive ones anyways!
