for Pets at Lonsdale Pet Hospital
At Lonsdale Pet Hospital, we’re dedicated to providing your cherished pets the highest level of care. Our advanced Pet Laser Therapy service is a testament to our commitment to utilizing innovative technologies for the well-being of your furry family members.
Laser therapy, also known as cold or low-level laser therapy (LLLT), is a non-invasive and painless procedure that employs concentrated light energy to stimulate cellular activity. This therapy accelerates healing, reduces pain and inflammation, and improves overall tissue health.
Laser treatment is a safe and effective way of treating various animal conditions, from chronic pain relief or wound healing to tumor removal or other more serious medical issues. Laser therapy uses focused beams of light that penetrate deep into tissues without causing any damage; this helps reduce inflammation and promote faster healing times than traditional methods such as surgery or medications alone can achieve. The procedure itself is quick – usually taking only minutes – with minimal discomfort experienced by your pet during treatment time due to its non-invasive nature.
Pain Management
Laser therapy is an effective method for alleviating pain associated with a wide range of conditions. Whether your pet is recovering from surgery, suffering from arthritis, or dealing with an injury, laser therapy provides much-needed relief.
Reduced Inflammation
Inflammation is a common factor in many pet health issues. Laser therapy targets and reduces inflammation, which not only eases discomfort but also promotes faster healing.
Enhanced Mobility
Pets dealing with joint or muscle issues often experience limited mobility. Laser therapy helps improve joint flexibility and muscle function, enabling your pet to move more comfortably.
Accelerated Healing
Laser therapy accelerates the healing process for wounds, incisions, and injuries by stimulating cellular activity. This means less downtime for your pet and a quicker return to normal activities.
Non-Invasive and Painless
Laser therapy is completely non-invasive and painless. Your pet will feel a gentle warming sensation during the treatment, often finding it relaxing and soothing.
During a laser therapy session, your pet will be comfortably positioned, and protective eyewear will be provided to shield their eyes. The veterinarian or trained technician will then apply the laser wand to the targeted area, ensuring precise and effective treatment.
